A representation of the idea of conformism through organic forms mediated by basic geometric shapes.
We are born spontaneously, like mushrooms, we have no decision in the matter and cannot establish the initial parameters of our being.
At the beginning of our existence we are totally inured to our will: we cry, scream, laugh… we do what we instinctively feel without being minimally aware of the observation of others.
As we grow we are inevitably introduced to the society around us, a society that praises itself as an example to follow and imitate, an observer who evaluates the behaviour of others. This is why it is represented as the tail of a peacock, where the feathers are not arranged in a radial pattern but in an ordered pattern. The eyespots of this ordered tail pattern become our new point of view, we stop seeing ourselves through our own eyes and we limit ourselves to seeing ourselves through the eyes of others, limiting our spontaneity in exchange for the approval of a conformist society.

Nasciamo spontaneamente, come funghi, non abbiamo potere decisionale a riguardo né stabilire i parametri iniziali del nostro essere.
All’origine della nostra esistenza siamo totalmente assuefatti alla nostra volontà: piangiamo, urliamo, ridiamo.. facciamo quello che sentiamo d’istinto senza avere la minima coscienza dell’osservazione altrui.
La crescita ci introduce inevitabilmente alla società che ci circonda, una società che celebra se stessa come esempio da seguire ed imitare, osservatrice valutante del comportamento altrui. Ecco perchè rappresentata dalla coda di un pavone, dove il piumaggio non è disposto a raggiera ma all’interno di uno schema ordinato. Gli occhi di questa coda ordinata diventano il nostro nuovo punto di vista, smettiamo di osservarci con il nostro sguardo e ci limiteremo ad vederci tramite gli occhi altrui, limitando la nostra spontaneità in favore dell’approvazione di una società conforme.
